ODM Reversible Watch – turning things upside down

So we have a new range of watches from ODM, the innovative watch manufacturer who produced the JC/DC watches for Jean Charles de Castelbajac.

This time they’ve paired up with the UK designer Michael Young to create the ‘Reversible’ range. The analogue and digital watches have a different take on the reversible theme, although both of them switch the usual role of display and buttons. On the ODM Reversible Digital, four large buttons make up the face and the two digital windows are moved to the sides. This means you can set two times and just turn the watch upside down on your wrist when you change time zones (for all you jet setters).

The ODM Reversible Analogue also switches the display to the rim of the watch and the controls to the middle. A large central button hides the hands all except for their tips, so they appear to float around the edge of the dial – tap the touch-sensitive button twice and the backlight glows to tell you the time in the dark. Which looks pretty cool…

Both of these are available in black and in a reddish orange.
